I Am Lucky…I Killed A Snake!

Since I am living in the mountainside of the Philippines, it is inevitable to experience monsoon rains in the afternoon. The cool weather makes every soul in the city to feel relax. After I had finished my online classes last night. I stayed at the backyard to feel the cool breeze. Then, I felt something moving and I saw a snake perhaps more 12 inches long. I was awake and adrenaline rush at that point of time. I managed to use the metal tube at the side of the house to kill the reptile creature. Well, I feel sorry for this snake. But I need to kill it since my little niece usually walks in the backyard pathway. I am lucky because there is a belief in my country. If you see a snake, it brings luck. Well, I hope it is true and looking forward to having that luck.

snakes are one of the animals that I really feared of. But I also killed a snake. I have to do it even if I am trembling in fear for the sake of my children.

I also don't like to see snakes. But I can't help myself to kill it. I need to secure the members of the residents into safety.

I like to see these reptiles move. My family and I specially would not kill a snake, but maybe carry in a long pole and throw it elsewhere, ofcourse if it is a poisonous one, we would be careful not to venture out and stay indoors till it goes away. We used to encounter such reptiles before 10 yrs often while monsoon, but now due to too many houses, they are hardly there.

I would not have the courage to kill a snake, but my father does. Hopefully no more is in the area, and it is safe to do that because your niece plays in the yard and that could be dangerous.

@infatuatedbby I hope there will be no sightings of snakes around. Today, I asked somebody to cut the grasses at the backyard.

@Shavkat I hope no snakes are in the area. It is common for lizards where I live but they aren't harmful.

If there are children around or if they are likely to be in the vicinity it is best to get rid of the snake I think.

Snakes are worshiped here in India and people do not kill them but honestly who will start worshiping seeing a snake, everybody will run away for sure.

there's no such thing as luck killing an animal, even for a snake. but since it has something to do with safety of your niece, then its okay, better be safe than sorry.

Well, it happens for a reason. I am not loving reptiles because it brings danger. Don't worry. There are a lot of snakes behind our backyard. Since it is a brook area.
