Scary story.

The trick worked even.when.we have gone older. In my another hometown, somewhere in Cagayan Valley, we got a lot of trees in our yard. We have "makopa" or wax apple, "mabolo" or velvet apple, "langka" or jackfruit, "caimito" or star apple, coconut tree, and the tallest and scary "rimas" or bread fruit tree. The bread fruit.tree is not.that scary actually, but our parents told us story.what is in there. Not that simple.tree house that we climbed but a mythical creature.we call, "kapre" that they said to be living in there. This creature is said.to be tall, around 7 to 9 foot-tall with cigar on his hand. He is muscular and hairy too. The description can really be scary. That when we are done with dinner, we don't go out or else. . The story can be just a.made up but it worked on us, until.now. haha. I don't dare to stay.somewhere the.tree. But i forgot, that i should fear most those addicts that roam around our town, that almost burned our house. Have you been told scary stories when you were young? *P.S. Thanks to the operatives who found 900 million pesos or almost $20 million, of meth, now i can say, my other hometown can be safer...for now.

I heard so many creepy stories like this. It scares me a lot especially if I am in my grandparents' province. However, I haven't seen these kind of creatures. With the exemption of seeing a white lady before.

In my another hometown, somewhere in Cagayan Valley I never found you there when I was staying in that "somewhere" I had always been told of scary stories whenever I wanted to go the beach. I think that has been the biggest factor and has me scared of big water sources like sea or even ponds.

My parents never told us scary stories. But I do recall telling stories to my little sister. I wasn't the primary culprit but I did participate.

@Platespinner Your older brother got his once. He was watching television in the wee hours of the morning, when a bat joined him in the room. He thought it was a bird until thinking to scare it he turned the light on. Spooked him good.

@Lucky15 it's the ghost they saw one midnight near our fence. She called our helper and saw it too. They suspect it's the ghost of our late neighbor.

@Lucky15 Yes. I didn't know he was a ghost already. They said I have third eye. But I snapped it down when I was sick. Before I used to see weird things and people. Now it looks like it was locked.

Description of "kapre" is matching with "saleda" a ghost famous for changing his looks in a second.

@Lucky15 I asked my dad one day "How do you feel about ghost stories ? " , he looked at me and said "stories are made to scare people , if you really want to know the truth go find it by yourself , and if you do ,well I don`t know if you will be able to tell them ever again " .

Actually, ghost stories are not really scary. What we scared most are those living addicts who are roaming around during night time and even day time, if they're already high, they seems like to kill innocent people.

Our parents never told a scary story, except the eldest in our family. That is why it is not advisable to scare the kids so when they grow, they are strong and brave.Yes, we better be afraid of addicts.
