Hubby starts Physical therapy tomorrow, and he's not happy about it. Our medical Ins has requested he go through PT before they will ok his back surgery. I'm hoping they can do something for him, and give him some relief. Plus he has to see a Nutritionist, to help him lose weight before surgery. That person will have their work cut out for them, good luck on getting him to do what they want him to do. Wish us luck! Have you even been through Physical therapy? Did it help? Note: I made this Doggie and Me t-shirt set a while back (see photo), and for some reason it made me think of my hubby tomorrow, lol

My husband has physical therapy for a neck problem and it helps a lot. I also had when I injured my knee, the therapy was enough to fix the problem.

@lilnana1111 Even if he needs surgery, most of the time a physical therapy before, helps for a faster recovery.

It would be awesome if this fixed the problem, but looking at his X-rays, it doesn't look good.

What happened to your hubby's back? Does he has a slip disk? Physical therapy treatment is effective depending on what case the patient has.

@lilnana1111 If your husband is undergoing surgery, it must be serious. For some people, they do lumbar traction to ease from chronic low back pain.

Haven't been to a physical therapist. I hope that there is no need to. I did have a nutritionist before back in my previous gym. Hopefully, all the prep work before the surgery works well for your husband.

I do hope things go well tomorrow. Carrying excess weight cannot be good if your husband has a weight problem.

adorable t-shirts :) i feel fer yer hubs, but can attest to physical therapy o'er surgery 'tis most always a better bet, dependin' 'n the cause'f one's troubles. yepperz, the nutritionist's gonna've her hands full...'s well's yerself :( i went through 9 months'f physical therapy 'fter my wreck quite a few years 'go. torn muscles/ligaments from the base'f my skull down to my tailbone, mostly'n the left side (from the impact). i thank my lucky stars i found a fella who 'twas a 'fit' 'n understood my desire fer wellness without surgery'n all the complications that could arise. 'tis amazin' what keepin' ones "core" 'n shape can do fer those back pains, bulgin' disks, sciatic nerve troubles'n the like. sadly, most don't continue with such ('s well's the nutrition part) 'n deem the therapy a failure.
