I was playing 'Don't starve together" by myself because my sister wasn't able to play and I was doing great! I had survived 10 days on my own and I almost died in that time. I finally made it back to the resurrection spot where I started setting up camp because I finally collected the things I needed to build good stuff. So I built a science machine, backpack, chest and was going to cut down more trees so I could make boards and build a wall to hide behind and then on my way back to my camp wolves started chasing me. WOLVES! I made it back to the camp and tried to fight off the wolves (there was 2) I thought for sure I had this but no, no turns out I didn't have this. I died and apparently when you die everything resets. I didn't know that. I lost everything. EVERYTHING!!!!!! So I rage quit. LOL! End of story.

It's actually alot of fun haha. Until you die far away from the resurrecting place!

Yes. You create a world and you just have to save it. But make sure you set it to 'endless' because in survival if you die the game is over and you lose everything.
