Heat Wave Fantasy Versus Wet Day Reality

Well the British weather forecast on BBC1 earlier last night made me smile a fair bit. They said that most of England and Scotland would have a rather humid evening whilst the weather on Sunday would be equally warm and humid from 21 degrees centigrade to 30 degrees centigrade. Wishful thinking there! My central heating clocked on at midnight when it shouldn't have as the outside sensor detected the air being much colder than 14 degrees centigrade and sure enough when I checked my digital thermometers, they showed the temperature in my home around the 18 degrees centigrade mark. Clearly if we had a humid night in the UK, my central heating wouldn't be on! Time will tell though. It looks like Sunday in Scotland is going to be rather wet and rather cold whilst the rest of the UK get to bask in hot sun. How lucky some people are! (c)Nar2/crystalvisions2016

No, you're right, there! It rained for most of the night and this morning before the sun came out. Not exactly warm though.

Our temperature went down to 11 degrees centigrade during the night, but the day is dry and pleasant. I think that we had no more than 27 degrees Celsius today.

I did wonder why it felt so chilly at 9pm last night, and gave in and switched on the heating for an hour to remove that hint of parkiness from the house... Brr!
