I currently work at home doing a few things. The reasons for working from home are many, but off the top of my head: -No commute (I hate sitting in traffic) -More quality time with my family -No child care costs -No gas or car repair costs -Not having to get dressed to work and no one else knows

Oh I almost forgot, setting my own schedule means I get to sleep in late.

I too would love to find something that would allow a steady income while I'm able to stay at home with my child. I enjoy getting to play with him throughout the day and that I'm the one he sees before and after naps. It's also nice that when hubby gets home from work I can have dinner prepared and we can spend the rest of the evening together instead of trying to get so many day to day things done, like laundry, dishes, cleaning, paying bills, etc. I've worked in childcare enough that I know I wouldn't really like to put my child there unless I had to. I know too much about licensing and can find something wrong with nearly every center...not to mention the outragous costs.

I'd like to work at home or out of my home when I have kids. We won't do daycare at all. That's one reason, the main reason. But I've often thought about writing books, that's something I could do at home. Also, when my husband gets his electrical license we may pursue self employment.

I have a 7 month old son and he is all the incentive I need to try to work from home. I can't stand the thought of a stranger raising him while I'm trying to work. Not to mention the outrageous day care prices.

Earning money from home is very convenient and allows you to focus more of your time on family life. I've been earning a little extra money online through mylot, along with doing other odd jobs online which has actually landed money in my pocket. These odd jobs include completing surveys, reading emails, completing free offers, playing a game, etc. I encourage those who are interested in this sort of thing to PM me for info/links. I would give them here but I don't want to go against the rules.

I would like to work from home so I can be with my children and still be able to help my husband with the bills.

I WANT 2 WORK FROM HOME. I HAVE A 5 YR OLD DAUGHTER SHE WILL BE STARTING SCHOOL SOON - WHO WILL PICK HER UP / CARE FOR HER WHILE I'M @ WORK? I DON'T TRUST JUST ANYONE ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO MY CHILD. ALSO, THE DAILY GRIND BECOMES TOO MUCH AFTER A WHILE. GETTING UP @ 6AM, DRIVING FOR 1.5 HRS TO GET TO WORK, WORKING 'TILL 17:30, THEN 2 HRS TRAVEL (EVENING TRAFFIC) AND GET HOME IN TIME TO COOK, ETC. IT'S GETTING TOO MUCH! NEED 2 MAKE A CHANGE - SOMETHING FOR THE BETTER. IF MYLOT IS THE ANSWER, THEN HELL YEAH!!!

I already work at home. I contract for several companies and it works great. My children are 14 years apart in age, and babysitting costs have more than doubled since my oldest was a little one! Working @ home keeps me home with my baby... which rocks!

I don't think I could. I don't have the attention capacity to be able to work as well as look after my child.

At this point, he is 4 months old. Most of my work is during nap times... lol Me, My baby monitor and computer... we are all best buds. I am sure as the months go by, it will get a little harder and I will have to concentrate on working evenings when my older son is home to babysit after school
