medako I think what's fair is what works well for you. I'm a stay at home mom now, but even when I was working my husband and I have always put our money into a joint account. What's mine is his and vice versa.

medako I wash all of our dishes by hand. It's by far my least favorite chore! I've tried doing them after every meal, do them as I dirty them, and letting a full sink (and then some) stack up first thinking maybe I'd find a better way so I didn't hate it so much....

medako what works best for me is to make ONE trip to the store a month (wal-mart). I get what I need for the entire month and avoid all "I'll just run in to pick up xxx" trips. A simple trip into the store for a gallon of milk can easily turn into $20 or more...

medako We put our tree up the Saturday after Thanksgiving - a fake one. I have a small child and don't want him to be eating a real tree...and the convenience of a fake tree can't be beat.

medako We spend about $150 a month for groceries & necessities (soaps, shampoos, diapers, etc) for 2 adults and one child. Weve also done Angel Food in the past...it's a good way to save!

medako I generally like eggnog, but this year I got some and it just seemed a little too thick and rich for me. Maybe I'm losing my taste for it. But, I did make some very yummy eggnog cookies last week - I think that's how I'll use the rest of the carton.
