This is my first Grand daughter. I plan on buying her lots of presents. My daughter seems to think that she doesn't need many because she is to young and doesn't understand. I think we should get her lots of them. All things she needs. A few just for fun. This is her first Christmas! What do you think?

My son was 11 1/2 months old at Christmas and between all of the grandparents, aunts, uncles, Santa, etc. he got PLENTY of toys. Does he need them all right now? no. And that's why I've put a majority of them under his bed for now. I've decided to slowly pull them out as he gets older and can play with them. That way he isn't too overwhelmed by the mass of toys and we always have new ones to rotate in and out so he doesn't get bored.

That is a good idea if he got that many. My grand daughter got lots of educational toys. My kids all believe in reading to babies and start them learning while they are young. She already talks more than kids older than her. She says things in english and spanish.

She got educational toys. She is being raised to speak spanish and english so she got several toys that teach both languages. She also got lots of books. Reading to kids helps them to read when they are older. I did that with my four kids and they are all readers to this day.

I am buying her clothes that she needs and educational toys and books. You should start teaching them young. These are all things we are going to buy anyway so we are just giving them to her at Christmas. We will have pictures to show her of her first Christmas.

The gifts we plan on buying are things she needs. New clothes and stuff. My daughter can't afford to buy her many because she has another child on the way. She will be able to use everything for her second one who is also a girl.

We had a great Christmas. She got lots of books and fun educational toys. She also got lots of clothes. She had fun checking everything out. Everything that she got she can use and she also has a little sister due in March who will be able to use the stuff after her.
