When I was still a PC user and one of my favourite operating systems being Windows ME 2000, one of the greatest aspects of the built in Windows Media Player was the default add-on program to print out jewel case covers. I had another software program that I bought that worked in tandem with this program where it could print an image on a CD. Being a musician, this was a fantastic facility to have!
As I’m a bit older now and an Apple user instead of PC, a friend of mine dropped by this morning to ask if I had a jewel case cover software on my computer. She wasn’t aware that I was an Apple user but she has a new laptop with Windows 10 installed and she couldn’t find the jewel case cover option within the media player on her laptop.
The current systems we use at work is Windows 8.1 which was originally released in 2013. I am not aware of Windows 10 but it didn’t take me long to become accustomed to W10 on my friend’s laptop.
However as much as we tried we both couldn’t find any software on the system to print out jewel case covers for home grown CD production; it is almost as if Microsoft don’t want their owners to expand their creativity! Checking online reveals several freeware softwares that provide what we need, but my friend isn’t keen on downloading unauthorised software; she has a very good point.
After all, PC computers in general are more susceptible to viruses etc than Apple products in general.
Luckily though we downloaded iTunes for her PC laptop, all because I showed her a print facility that sits alongside the other options on the main iTunes bar. There’s a handy facility to print out jewel case covers and not only a default list but with 7 or 8 mosaic like options or worded lists that offer stamp like photos of other albums you might own in your iTunes list. You can custom a lot here given that it is a free patch and to save on ink you can also print in black and white if you want.
Admittedly iTunes is not as easy to use as Windows Media Player in my opinion, but at least the option for jewel case printing is already built in. (c)Nar2/crystalvisions2016.

Apple is like any other company in my experience. MS is out to fleece customers more than Apple.

@crystalvisions Yes MS is the one that is now slowing down on that though. but Apple has all the expensive stuff and ignorance towards customer.

@skysnap You seem to think Apple is on its own. Where is your evidence that all Apple stuff is expensive and ignorant towards the customer?
