Success - Friendship, Red Wine and a Great Attitude

I received a postcard in the mail today, not from a myLot member, but from a random Postcrossing member in Finland. I picked it up from our Post Office Box at the end of a day working on my book, four intense hours of editing. The card definitely helped me smile when all I felt like doing was collapsing into the chair. This card, from the Finnish artist Inge Look, reminds me of what growing older is all about. We can surely count ourselves as successful if we too have a great friend to share our time and a glass of wine with, and can enjoy the simple pleasure of each others company, as these two ladies are doing here. I love Inge Look's old ladies postcards and so it's always a pleasure to receive another one in my mailbox. May I too feel self-assured enough to enjoy life and be active enough to climb a tree when my hair is white. In my opinion this is something to aim for.
