Hanging Flower Pots: Another Storage Tip for the Home!

Carrying on from the last post I wrote when I discovered how handy a hanging travel bag could be for my USB cords and devices (see I thought I would share my next tip for something rather unusual. A few years ago a local hardware store were changing ownership companies and as a result since the shop were changing their stock to a slightly more unusual line of products, they were selling off hanging small plant pot holders. My home already has hanging brackets hung up when we used to hang plants from but these straight walled small buckets caught my eye for usage INSIDE my home rather than for outdoor use. They cost me £3 each ($3.09). They were originally bright green and bright blue in colour, but given that they are metal and not perforated, I bought some black metal paint and painted them black to match each other. They have a double line border at the front, which in time I may paint in white just to show up their kind of old fashioned appeal. I painted them roughly to give a country kitsch kind of a feel. They are also light enough to be hung without pulling the wall to bits! As hanging plant pots they are kind of shallow and although metal based, I kept the interior colours original to add a bit of a difference when hanging them in my kitchen. I find them useful for storing things like my gas lighters for my scented candles and wick scissors, to the other one also handy for keeping larger proper scissors in storage. But I like them as they are for putting handy little things that I use in the kitchen and they cost very little, which adds to the appeal. (c)Nar2/crystalvisions2016.
