When the "Joseph Joseph" range of kitchen accessories were first launched on the UK market, they had already been on sale in Europe and the U.S under different brand names.
The idea of colour coding chopping boards to differentiate chopping different foods such as vegetables (green boards) to meats (red boards) fish (blue boards) and fruit (yellow boards) has always originated from the commercial kitchens found in restaurants or the general food industry.
Whilst chopping boards are colour coded for each kind of food prep, Joseph Joseph utilised the same design but stores them altogether in a fancy stand with tabs on the boards to pull out at a moment’s notice.
The cost price for this particular piece of stylish kitchen ware can cost up to U.S $70.66 (£54.00) which I think is far too expensive.
It is however a lot cheaper to buy individual colour coded chopping boards. But how do you store them without a fancy holder?
Well, help comes to mind in the form of plastic office file holders. The one you see in my photo supplied never managed to file folders properly because of its curved sides.
However, the open nature of this binder file holder clearly shows chopping boards of different kinds can be stored in one place. I also like this file holder because it has a triangular open window in which it gives just washed chopping boards a chance to dry off, if they haven’t already been left to dry in my dish drainer. I can store a lot more chopping boards than the one Joseph Joseph produces!
"Plastic office file holders" as they are sometimes known as can be purchased as cheaply as $1-25. My late father also used another one in the kitchen to store all the appliance user manuals, too. (c)Nar2/crystalvisions2016

I have some of them at my parents' place. Now, those file holders will be used for a different purpose.
