There were a lot of these gulls by the shore this morning. I think they were taking advantage of the calm water and looking for something to eat.

My wife and I used to share our McDonald's fries with them. Until they became a little too demanding (nothing like seeing one of these on your car mirror staring at you because you haven't given it a fry yet).

This is a great shot. They have one bird facing each direction on the lookout. pretty darn cool! Is this within walking distance of your home? I would love living close to the ocean. My daughter and son in law would love to live by the ocean, they just can't figure out employment there quite yet.

This park is about a 10 minute drive from me and the lake is on the other side of the park (about a 15-20 minute walk).

My wife wants to move by the ocean but we'll likely hold off until after the kids are out of school (roughly 11 more years) so they aren't forced to move away from their friends and grandparents.
