Calliope, the Muse of Writers, courtesy of WP Clipart. Certainly not a modern Greek!

I have a bad case of writer’s block. I really can’t think of anything of any interest to say! I could say that, although it’s bright and sunny here, it’s blowing a gale. Good, if you have lots of clothes to dry; bad, if you’re tricked by the sunshine into having dinner in the garden. However, there’s usually some sort of “although” in the English summer, so it’s not really news. I could tell you that I’m in the middle of building my first house in Sims 4 – with which announcement I would lose the bulk of my readers! I could say that we had a great dinner tonight – goats’ cheese pasta bake. Rik, a carnivore to his backbone, would immediately dispute the “great” bit – and, anyway, do you REALLY want to know what we ate for dinner? I could tell you that I had just mastered Modern Greek. This would be a lie, but there might be some point in such a claim if I thought you sufficiently credulous to believe me. Sadly, I do not. Having discounted all these possibilities, I reluctantly return to my first point. I have a bad case of writer’s block, and really can’t think of anything of interest to say! Any suggestions?

Well, Rik says that I'm really talented in the art of making mountains out of molehills!

I did care about what you had for dinner until you mentioned goat's cheese. I didn't care for that.

As far as I'm concerned the goat's s cheese was the best part of the meal - I rather like it!

Hey, I enjoyed your tidbits, so you had a discussion after all. I don't start many myself, unless there is realy something I want to know or express. I'd like to contribute more that way so people have something to answer though. I've never tried the Sims thing. I'd probably disappear into my character and never come out, lol. I lead such an exciting life, don'tcha know. I would love to experience an English summer, or an English any season, really. It's way to hot here in the summer, high fire danger. And I've always wanted to go to England.

Our summer didn't really start until the end of last month, and at the moment it's in stop/start mode. I'm off to Cyprus on holiday next month - can't wait!

@vivenda Takes Hemingway's advice and just sit down at the typewriter and bleed onto the page. You may use a computer keyboard instead of you wish, or your phone as I do.

As you can probably gather from the title, I'm more into Steinbeck than into Hemingway!
