Do you put your mobile phone on the table when you have a meal with others?

My mobile is only taken out when it rings . It's in my bag when i am with friends in a restaurant . Besides , it's not safe to put it on the table when eating in a restaurant because there are many scrupulous persons that can easily just pick it up without you noticing it at all.

No, I do not and I feel offended when someone put the phone on the table when we have a meal together. It's a simple question of good manners, you put the phone on silent mode and you reply AFTER you have finished your meal.

I don't bring it out on the table while eating. When at home, I leave it in the bedroom or living room. When eating out, it's just in my bag.

I don't like to see such things on the dinning table other than the dishes and tableware. I just hate to imagine what it would be liked if it the phone is being snatched by some thieves or have a careless waiter spilling any kind of soup or drinks on my phone. No, I do not do that. I keep my wallet and phone in my lunch bag, which is a very small carrier to put just small items. If the phone rings or a text comes in, then I will check. In this case, I do not have to worry about losing my phone.
