Some years ago someone gave me the best tip ever against being lazy, procrastination, leaving everything for tomorrow or similar bad habits. Just do one minute of the stuff you are supposed to do. Just one minute. And it works, because this guy new that the first minute is the most difficult in any task. Has any of you guys got any better tip ever?

Here's one I've heard. Get a small disk of wood, or perhaps plastic. Write the words "2 It" on the disk in some type of permanent marker. Whenever you say that you'll do something when you get a round to it, go get this disk, which is "a round 2 it".

I think that is great advice. A lot of times it is hard to get started at a task but once you start then you have no problem staying at it and finishing it.

My best advice came from my eldest daughter. She keeps pushing me to do whatever right away!

i feel like promising myself something good in the future gets me to work in the present. also, just one call to my mom telling her im not being able to work gets me a good old scolding which puts me right on track :)
