If you had the opportunity to settle down in another country, which country will it be and why?

I have always thought that one day I will spend some years of my life in a foreign country. This will present me the opportunity to dig into other cultures, meet new people, make new friends, try new things, taste new foods, and see life from a completely different perspectives. In the broadest sense of the word, I will grow; both as a person and as a professional. If I could choose one country, it would be Kenya. I love Kenya. I spent nearly four years travelling back and forth to Kenya in my previous employment and I feel the call of this country again. What about you? If you had the opportunity to settle down in another country, which country will it be and why?

I always dream of visiting Paris for vacation but in settling down, I will still choose my home country.

Love for one's country is a great feeling, but I think travelling for new experience at some point in time in life doesn't diminish that love. Maybe, it can even grow it. Distance makes the heart grow fonder, they say.

@excellence7 Yes I definitely want to travel and experience something new if given a chance. I want to try new food, check out other cultures, and more. I find it interesting.

@rosegell08 I hope one day the opportunity comes to you and if it doesn't, then create it.

This is great. I am a Mauritian. I would not have declined the job offer in Kenya. I'm yearning for such an opportunity.

I've always admired the culture in the Scandinavian countries so I guess if I have to choose I'd choose that region.

Probably Canada because of the good things that I've heard from fellow Filipinos living in that country.

The country I like most is Brazil. They are open The ladies also move freely. I like it. One should be free and frank without hiding one's own feeling for anything. Do you agree?.
