Spider Web

Went for my morning walk this morning and the park was surprisingly void of life. No herons, no ducks, etc. In fact, for most of the walk, the only thing I saw were some beautiful spider webs. At least the spiders were busy.

I was thinking that when I took the photo. They almost look like store-bought Halloween decorations. But, I've seen the spiders that make them.

Pretty heavy duty spider web. I never want to run into the spider.

I've seen a few of them. They are actually quite large (about the size of a silver dollar, though some are a little bigger). But totally harmless unless you are an insect.
