Ya know I love my family but working for them is for the birds. My mom apparently doesn't want to hear about things that happened in class but will take 30 minutes to talk to my cousin about her kids day. How is this right? I was making copies while talking and apparently I wasn't working hard enough for her liking so she said we will catch up some other time then proceeds to talk to my cousin about her kids. This happens frequently and also banging on the bathroom door as soon as I shut it saying get out of the bathroom! I wish more than anything that I could work in the lab everyday so I wouldn't have to be here. But I'll trudge through bc well I'm a broke college student who's paying her way through college and needs the cash. When I need to study I tell them I am leaving at 5pm the normal time but since I'm there part time they said your homework can wait you now work late on the days you work. I normally don't complain about working but sheesh I've had enough of this dramatic office with psychotic crazy family throwing hissyfits. The one good thing is my dad's workers are like my big brothers. To my family....I'm about to toss yalls crazy butts out the windows!!!!

I wouldn't want to work with family, either. The interpersonal dynamics are just different. I hope you can find another job situation. At least you have the "big brothers" sometimes, lol.

lol doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun. Family can get on your nervous sometimes. I love my family dearly but I really don't think I work for them. They would treat you different because you are family. They would never treat another employee that way but they know they can get away with treating you like that.

It's rather not fun but I agree it's time to move on out of here!
