I knew 'my' photo was best!

Most of you know my husband loves taking photos. He now belongs to several FB photographic groups.
On one site he has put two of his Nepalese photos. Members can like, love or give a wow to each photo. One photo I call 'mine' as it is my favourite of all his photos. It shows a single canoe on a lake with a splash of colour across one corner.
Here is what one person said about it: 'too beautiful for words....so many elements of contrast - the sharpness of the leaves and flowers versus the fog, the intense colour versus a grey background, the stillness of the water versus the motion of the boat'.
Vin prefers one of a group of colourful canoes. 'My' photo now has 59 likes and 9 loves. His has ONLY 22 likes, 1 love and 1 wow. Vince is saying the fools don't understand the technical expertise involved. I'm saying it proves what I've always suspected – I have better taste!
I have put up both photos before but I'm pretty pleased that mine is leading in the stats. Because I can't put up two at once, I'll try to respond to myself and add the other photo.
Oh oh, can't respond to myself. Will have to wait for someone to respond.

@JudyEv the colors 're quite stunnin', but i still gotta go fer the other'un, lol. whilst this'un 's beauty, jest a tad too 'busy' fer my taste. there's no place fer the eye to rest 'n the mind wander.

I just saw his photo of the colorful boats below. Although I like that very much too, I must say that your photo captured something more . . . not just objects, but something "internal" - something emotional - something of the moment. Looking at your photo, I can almost feel like I'm there . . . I can almost feel the sun ray and can imagine myself in peace in that canoe on the lake. It really is a beautiful shot @JudyEv - sometimes it has nothing to do with technical expertise!!

Two people commented that the one with all the canoes was a bit 'busy' so I told Vin this and he huffed and puffed and said we have no 'class'. Just in case you're wondering, he wasn't put out or upset. I am giving him heaps over it.

You got a great shot, Ms. Judy. I've not gone to Palawan in our country but your photo reminds me of scenes from the place. The water in your photo is as still as oil (as what usually the locals would say here). Thanks to @hereandthere for leading me here

Both shots were taken on Lake Phewa and Vin took them both but we differ on which one is the 'best'. And yes, the water is very still. Thanks @hereandthere for the recommendation. :)

one grabs your attention because of the explosion of colors, suited for travel/tourism. but the impressions you get from this one stays with you.
i guess this is what they mean when they say there's 'poetry' in it. the comment you quoted describing the contrasting elements was educational for those with untrained eyes like me.

@fufurinha We have a small one framed and on the wall but it would look better if it were bigger.

The photo was taken on Lake Phewa, Nepal, and sometimes there is mist around all day apparently.

I scrolled down so I could see the other one. I love "your" choice, too, although the one of the canoes is also gorgeous! (How's that for a diplomatic response? LOL)
