View From the Tower

I mowed yesterday evening and, still a little sore, I decided to keep my walk relatively short this morning and mostly hung around the observation tower at Edgewater Park. While up there, I took a photo straight down at the train track that runs right by it. The track is still used so it might be cool to be up there when a train goes by.

It's a climb, especially since you have to walk up a hill before you even go up the steps.

No wildlife hanging around a noisy train track.

Actually, you'd be surprised. There's a couple herons that usually hang out by the tracks, along with other birds, squirrels and rabbits. The track only gets used maybe twice each day during the week, usually in the evening, which is why I'll walk on it on occasion if I don't want to get my feet wet walking in the grass.
