At the present time, there are so many different types of music, that we may find a beautyfull one for every liking. The music has got a large history and new ways to make music were invented. New generations may prefer the techno music, others new age, jazz, blues, rock.... But, is there still someone listening to classical music? How much do you know about the generation of classical music? Sometimes, I try to bring near this music to my children, but no way as they consider it boring and they could get asleep quickly listening to those compositors like Mozart, Beethoven, Händl, Bach....
Do you still listen to classical music? Who is your favorite compositor?

I do like classical music but often it's just what I hear in a film.
Currently my favourite classical piece is from a film called Master and Commander.
The film is based on a series of books which I haven't actually read but will be buying soon.
The portion played on the film is my favourite bit and the whole piece isn't to my taste, I find the first period pretty boring.
I'll see if I can find the youtube link...may take time as I'd have to listen so as I can give the timing of the bit I like.

I've found it.
I'll listen again so as to give you the time of the best bit...obviously as you like classical you may like to listen to the whole thing...personally I find too much of a disconnect between the start and the best bit, it's like 2 different pieces.
On the link I'll post either listen to the whole thing or go to 4.14 for the bit I like the best.
If you like a really decent character driven film I'd recommend Master and Commander as it really is very good.

@Meramar the music is nice.
The film is excellent and is about naval things.
It was changed from the book but if you like a really great film with amazing actors and cinematography then I'd say give it a try.
Many say it's boring...I say they're stupid

I still listen to classical music. In fact, this genre is one of my most played playlists on Spotify. I listen to it when I am studying or if I am doing something that needs tremendous amounts of focus. My favorite is Vivaldi's 4 seasons.

@Meramar yes I have heard of that. I like it too. It is amazing that despite the fact that these classical songs have been composed many years ago, we still appreciate them.

I used to listen to classical music a lot when I was younger but not any more. Nowadays I don't listen to music at all--any kind. I have become an ardent lover of silence. But classical used to be one of my favorite kinds of music.

Well I kinda listen to classical music, but I'm more into piano classical music. So I like Beethoven sonata in c , and YIRUMA. i know that "rivers flow in you " it's not a classical but I just simply love it ??.
