Since I started to find a job, I always consider a dead-end job. I cannot afford to stay at a company of not having the chance to walk through to a better job position. This is also one thing why some people continued to file their resignation letter because they feel nothing will happen with the in the company. Can we blame them? I think it is not. Why? They are trying to have career development and self-advancement.

I am old school having worked for over forty years.
Never been unemployed and looked for safe pastures.
I wanted to learn all the time and saw to it I was always employable.
It is necessary that companies offer good prospects to those who work for them and are merit based with regular, impartial, appraisals - siva

From my perspective, any job is better than no job in the worst case possible, but you should always look to find a job you can progress in.
