Just not enough sometimes...

Does it ever happen to you that no matter what you do, its not just enough? No matter how much harder you try, it's not happening. And from there you just still keep pushing still the stuff is same. it could be anything like work, or some goal, family and relationship stuff.. it's the feeling that it's just not enough.. And I am currently in this phase and working on some projects and not sure what will happen. I am just doing the stuff and it's not enough. I don't know how people put on with this phase. Have you seen this sort of stuff happening to you? How did you deal with it?

It is heartbreaking when I might not be enough for someone as a person....especially when it is family ... but with work...I have faced many failures for various reasons...one of them being "not enough". ...and it doesn't hit me as hard as the 1st reason.

Its a phase we all go through it helps you grow as a person. I have learned to be patient with myself during phases like these..
@skysnap (20153)

yes I guess being patient and not thinking of outcome helps I guess.

@skysnap It surely does. When you reduce the stress on yourself and it makes the tasks easier in my experience.

@sofssu yes I guess expecting outcome and mentally harrdwiring ourselves increases stress. goal setting and pushing is good but expecting outcomes create stress if i am right?

It is like banging your head on a wall and there are two choices, keep banging until you get through or find a door.

Usually when I feel that way, I tend to take a breather from whatever it is and work on something else. It let's my mind settle a little and helps me internally understand or process it. Sometimes things just need that, time and perspective.

"I did my best, but I guess my best wasn't good enough." Sometimes, things like this really happens. I have given everything. I did everything, but it seems that it is still not complete. Seems that they are still expecting for more.
@skysnap (20153)
30 Aug 16

I have been through that and I realized it was me that was the problem. You can't keep doing the same things while expecting a different result. It won't happen. So I changed what I was doing in order to get a different result.

@skysnap Things are happenng very less for me in the professional realm. Sometimes in romantic fronts too. What keeps me from not falling down is remembering that I may not be where I want to be, but thank God I am not where I used to be. Also, no matter how bad it is, there is always something to be thankful for. It could always be worse; so I count my blessings. :-)

I like that "thank god i am not where I used to be."... I guess that's a really hopeful way of looking at life.
