According to an article that I read his morning, Portugal is the 10th best country to make friends from countries all around the world. And more important than that, we are the best country to make friends in Europe.
So what are you waiting for to come visit Portugal? I know that you will surely be welcomed here!!

I am aware of Philippines, Costa Rica & New Zealand. but frankly I was not aware of Portugal! I am happy to find one friend from Portugal - YOU!
I was in Nigeria for few years and even few Nigerian Girls & boys were very friendly! ( I know it souhnds weird)

I understand what you are saying. When kids are nice, it is part of their education, so their parents are kind as well.
