That's a good question. Ya know, I can't remember that far back but it started me thinking. And after some thought I still can't remember. Now I know I'm getting old. For those who didn't know it the "Teddy" got his name from the US President in Office at the time it came out...Theodore (Teddy) Roosevelt. Just thought you might like to know.

Hey there - nope I never had anything like that as a child - guess it was because I was shoved from family member to family member as my parents had to be with my older brother who had heart problems and was in a hospital in a different state - so nope never had one but I am sure it would have helped me out - since the 1st time I ran away from home - I was only 2yrs old!!!!!

You know what's funny - my older son - was always attached to his lamb comforter - wouldn't let that thing go anywhere - not even in the washer without him - HA HA - nope we never stuck him into the washer and our youngest got attached to a boy doll - it was just not really a doll style but a really cute stuffed boy that we nicknamed Bubba - and boy did he ever carry that around with him and if it ever turned up missing - he would run through the house screaming where's Bubba - like it was alive!!!!! We loved it!!!!!

I personally did not have a teddy. My kids did. But none of them were attached to them. My youngest son was attached to his blankie like Linus in Peanuts. To go to sleep he had to have his blankie and 2 middle fingers in his mouth. Another one had an ape she took to bed.

I had lots of teddys! I had a big panda which was as big as me when I was about 4. I didn't have a favourite though because I thought they might feel left out so I took turns at sleeping with them all lol
I still have one now :) (I'm 24)

I had a cloth donkey who was my favorite. I also had a family of pandas (though they weren't all mine) and, believe it or not, a family of blankets (Mummy, Daddy and Baby Blanket!) This was useful for my mother when she had to wash them!
