When I was still studying at college days, I usually listen to music while doing my homework. For some reason, some college students that I had known for preferring to study in a silent place. I am not sure if you will feel the same way. I listen to music during the old school days just to kill my boredom while reading textbooks. If I am not going to do this, I am pretty sure it will make me insane. Do you do the same thing? Image Credit: pixabay.com

I can't listen to music or the TV and do much of anything else. Well, I can craft, but that's it.

@Shavkat I find any electronically produced sound way more interesting than I can resist. Best to avoid it all together.

I guess it is really distracting for you to listen to music.

I think listening to pouring rain up in the sky is effective for me to sleep. I think people have different preferences.

@Shavkat when we were young we stayed overnight at a resort with a flowing river. i couldn't sleep because i think of it as a faucet that was left open and wasting clean water.

I listened to music when I did studied. If I was reading something complex, I would only listen to instrumental music, lest the urge to sing along with lyrics distract me. Haha

I couldn't work without the radio on!!! I never have been able to "concentrate" without music on. I find silence distracting.

I agree. When we listen to music, it makes us work in our own world.

I know many young people like to listen to music while they study. Mostly I studied in silence when I was at school.

Its cool to listen music at the time of working. We can do two things simultaneously at the same time. Its pretty cool and fun-loving also. As music makes us more comfortable and relaxed and brings an ease to mind and body and helps to think more precisely about the topic, we are working on.

It depends, I wouldn't play music while cramming the day before an exam, but if I'm studying just to catch up with my coursework, I certainly do.
