The Age has arrived too Soon!

It was grandchildren's day yesterday and my hubby and I were exhausted when we bid them goodbye at the garden gate, and as I watched them drive away I thought . . . .
"that was us a few decades ago, and look us now - we are the Grannies"
The age has arrived too soon and as we have passed the halfway mark, it leaves one with a daunting thought - Is there enough time to do it all over again with the grandchildren?
I have an extremely busy week this mid September and bear with me if you can while I go about my errands and pop in when I can to read and respond.
Our Annual Ballet Examinations are on Thursday and preparation for the Examiner's needs will be seen to tomorrow.
The we are hosting our 'Bowls for Ballet' fundraiser on Saturday and the ordering of the special selection of meats must be done today as well as the breads from the bakery. I also have to drive to all our sponsors and collect the prizes during the week which takes up much of my time.
My son is celebrating his birthday on Thursday as well but we had a great big luncheon for him yesterday as it is most difficult for working parents to celebrate in the mid-week especially with small children.
He will be 35 years old, now that most certainly tells me that The AGE has arrived too soon!
Happy Monday -
“There should be a holiday dedicated to all the brave people who show up to work on Mondays.”

Enjoy your grandchildren, enjoy your time and do not think at the age and the time that passes. Relay, you are still young and you have plenty of time to do things. Good Monday morning, let's create a celebration for us who work on Mondays.

Oh lordy you are still young in mind. You know Monday I feel like a 20 year old but by Friday like a 90 year old. The grandchildren make you feel young but as they go home you are also glad too!

@inlemay Time is a curious thing. It passes like the wind and it is fine and it's place remembers it no more. Life is so exhilarating, a glorious burst of colour like fireworks in the night sky. We need to pack a lot into it but at the same time we need to slow down to savour it.

It's called Labor Day here in the states and we just had it last week - the first Monday in September.
It's hard to admit you've come to that AGE. I feel like I've been there for a while now. Though you don't seem old enough to have a grandchild 35 years old unless I read that wrong. My oldest is 24. It does make me old just to think of the ages of my grandchildren and now I have great grandchildren.
You have a lot going on and I hope everything turns out well for your Bowls for Ballet fundraiser.
