I have to agree with you both. Homemade cakes all the way. It's the only way to get a real, rich flavored cake. I taught myself how to bake, and have been making cakes and icing ever since. Thank you both for your response. I appreciate it.

Yeah, homemade cakes are yummy. My mom makes Wacky Cake from scratch and it is the best homemade chocolate cake I've had ever.

I am very happy that I made you smile!! That was my exact reaction when I read the heading. All I could see was tables full of cake!!! My mom would make me a german chocolate cake for my b-day almost every year as a child...I miss it!! I've made just a plain cheesecake, but I also have recipes for a strawberry one and a chocolate one. I can't wait to make them!!!! They aren't the type that you top with strawberries or chocolate either, they are flavored that way!!! But I am very happy that I made you smile!! That was my exact reaction when I read the heading. Oops, I made a boo-boo!! The last part was intended for the top (as it shows), I just forgot to erase it!!! LMAO!!! But I forgot to say that I have tried lots of cheesecakes and my favorite would be the turtle cheesecake cause it has chocolate with caramel drizzled on the top and I can't place the flavor of it, but it is like so friggin good that I can't even describe it!!!!

A cheesecake probably closely followed by a custard tart that has been made into a cake. Plenty of cream, plenty of custard and chocolate or caramel if there is any room left on the cake.
