Your child sould go to church right from the start. They sould go with you everytime you go. If they ask you a question about it be truthful. If they grow up around it they will learn.

hey guys check this out:
deutronomy 6:5-9: and thou hast loved Jehovah thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might, and these words which I am commanding thee to-day have been on thine heart, and thou hast repeated them to thy sons, and spoken of them in thy sitting in thine house, and in thy walking in the way, and in thy lying down, and in thy rising up, and hast bound them for a sign upon thy hand, and they have been for frontlets between thine eyes, and thou hast written them on door-posts of thy house, and on thy gates. --Young's Literal Translation
proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. -- King James Version
these biblical passages tell us that it is more effective when we teach and/or our children of what we believe since their childhood. wouldn't you agree with that? even non-christian believe so coz who knows what's better than God himself. have a nice day!

Well i'll teach him/her about my religion when he's mature enough to understand the subject.

My children were exposed to our faith from their very infancy. When we put them to bed at night, we would pray their bedtime prayers standing by their crib. They always went to church, even from the first Sunday they were home from the hospital. They have both grown up with a strong personal faith, studied on their own, and know why they believe the things they do...not only dependent on what they were taught by their mom and dad.

Good answer. I wish I would have done the same with my children. Maybe we can start even though they are older. I guess it's never too late right.

As soon as their eyes are open and they can see you. Children are always watching what you are doing. So, you might as well begin to say, read or narrate some things to your child since the child is always watching you. My parents started to talk about Christ and God to me as soon as possible. By age 2, I knew it was a good thing to pray before you go to sleep or eat.

Good question! I'm catholic, so my daugther has always gone to church, just like my parents and theirs did to them. So, not really an issue. I believe you should raise them within the faith... then they can choose if they want to follow it or not!
GOOD LUCK
