I have been doing some extensive reading on this subject since my fiance died a few months ago. I wanted to know if he was OK and if I will see him again. I read a little about people going to a place where they "wait" in death to be awakened to be with family and loved ones in the "promised land". then I read that there is no "Hell" and people will be reawakened and live on earth again after the son of god comes again to resurrect everyone. Only 144000 will go to heaven and the rest will live on earth to try to live a good life again! I read something else saying that the dead come back as angels or their spirits are always here to protect us forever until "judgement day". I am soooo confused!!

I am terribly sorry for your loss, I believe you go to a wonderful place, where there is no pain or suffering and everyone is happy. You will see all your family and await the rest of your loved ones. Heaven is the name of this place.

I am sorry for your loss. This is what I learned from reading C.S. Lewis -- every earthly love is a picture of the ultimate Love which we will experience in heaven, in union with our Creator. We experience these different kinds of love here in this life to teach us what our true home will be like. In heaven we will have the true thing of which our relationships here were only imperfect images. With this understanding, we will be reunited with loved ones, in perfect glorified bodies. Every earthly love will rise again and live forever in that land, but none will rise again until it has been buried first.
