It means that peoples who did not work and give 100 percent to achieve their desired love...Think that Love can not be achieved and it is just waste of time...Like a hungry fox

Grapes are sour applies for 2 types of failures in the context of love.
Type 1 applies for somebody who failed again and again in love for some or the other reason.
Type 2 applies for somebody who looks at love as a transaction ,they think that if timely gifts, compliments, shopping is assured to their girlfriend then this man is entitled for lots of love form the girlfriend.

love is not a waste of time. It's What time do with love.
It's either spending more or less time with your lover which also lead to either a make or break relationship.
