Do you know why you don't have many responses?

In my case, I think I don't reply others' discussions more enough. And this is why I don't get more responses from them for my discussions. As if someone who often responds to your discussions, you will also tend to reply to his/her discussions, too.

This site pays for interaction, not for writing lots of posts.

I know. But perhaps having more responses also means there is much interaction?

@youless Yes and no. We all have to work commenting and answering other peopleĀ“s posts if we want them to visit ours.

Sometimes it depends on the time when the discussion is posted too - whether or not the site is busy at the time...

I am not sure when most Mylotters have free time here. Weekends or weekdays?

@youless I find weekends are often quiet on here - except maybe when the last day of the month falls on weekends...

Yes, this is surely the case. I have noticed that not writing every day, but visiting many discussions brings me more reponses when I write something.

@youless I have read many discussions asking if people visit more discussions by the same author. Most users say that they only read one, because they prefer to read from different users. As this is a common practice, I do not see the reason to write several discussions in a day.

I have been replying to others' discussions more than writing my own. It's hard to think of something to make a post. This weekend I will be starting more discussions, but during the week I think I will be reading and commenting more.

@petatonicsca In fact writing new discussions is easier for me because sometimes I just don't know how to respond to others' discussions because I don't know what they are talking about. Such as a special foreign dish which I haven't heard about.

Both has their own challenges, but I find that posting discussions is better sometimes

I like to reply to recent discussions or recent activities so that I know I am not talking to someone offline...

I will check my followers' discussions at first, and then the recent discussions.

@youless you mean "All Activity of Follows"? That is for those you follow, so if you seldom follow people like me, you won't have many things to respond to..
