Do you have friends who seem to want to bring you down instead of supporting you? Sometimes I feel that way when people seem to be more envious than happy over your success

If they do, they don't show it. I recently learned from a discussion that one of my childhood friends had been jealous of my family for getting an air conditioner (and it was only in one room). I was jealous that she had brothers and sisters and a whole bunch of cousins she was close to. That was interesting now that we are adults!

That is true , but sometimes I feel people try to hide it but still unintentionally show it

Yeah...the number of people who are genuinely happy for our success, never really exceeds a handful.

Sigh that is a sad truth I Guess! People will only be happy for you when they are worse than you

In fact sometimes we have to give up these so-called "friends". This is my experience after many years.

That's good advice! But hard to implement

I have people like that in my life...they normally won't be my close friends... in fact i won't even categorize them as my friends

I have many of them.. just that they are so conflicting at times. Not sure if they will be friends
