Are You Punctual

I always prided myself on being punctual. In fact, I'd rather arrive a little early than a few minutes late.
I've noticed that all the home health care people coming to the house will schedule a time but none of them are ever here at the time they say.
Today I'm waiting for the visiting nurse and she's already a half hour late. This will be her last visit and she's coming to close out the case. My mom won't be needing any more staff so that's good news.
However, I'm sitting here waiting to eat my lunch and I know the minute I put food in my mouth the doorbell will ring. It's frustrating, it's already late and past my normal lunch time, and I'm getting cranky.
So, I ask...are you punctual?

Oh goodness unless there is an emergency I am always early! If an emergency happens I keep in contact with whoeever I need to so they know what's going on.

I always try to be punctual to every appointment I have, either work or social. I know that time is important for some people.

Yes I am! I hate to wait so I am sure people would hate to wait on me.
Yeah those home health people get paid good and they take their time. My sister just about fired hers, they were to pack her wound and didn`t! She called her supervisor.

Hello.
I like to think that I am quite punctual. I try to be. I don't really like being kept waiting by people who are late do I would be a bit hypocritical if I was late and kept other people waiting

I also do not want to keep people waiting. But some people do not understand this.

I feel your pain. Before the twins started school their speech therapist came to the house three days a week to work with them. We had set times but she never got here on time. Most of the time she was at least an hour late. I had no way to go anywhere but I would always put off certain tasks that I felt might interfere with their session. My washing machine and dryer are very loud so I would wait for her visit to be over before tackling the daily laundry. Her being late would set my cleaning/laundry schedule back. On the other hand, we were very fortunate that she made house visits because most did not. I never complained to her.
As for the question, I have always strived to be on time or better yet early. It gets hard with 3 young kids at times.

With 3 small boys being punctual could be a problem, things always happen at the worst possible moments
Lucky me, I only have kritters to worry about, they're a lot less of a problem in that regard

I'm always a few minutes early, unless I want to make a grand entrance. Lol! The nurse and OT always arrived here within a few minutes of when they said they'd arrive. I just didn't like them using our bathroom every time they arrived. Glad your mom is fini with them!!!!

Back in the day, I was never really mindful of my time so it was fine with me if I arrive a bit late for meetings and appointments. Nowadays though, I value not just my time but the time of others so I always make sure to arrive ahead of everyone else.

I was wondering if it's had to stick to a strict schedule when you have such a job as home health. Doctors often fall behind on their appointments. You can't just leave if a client is in need. If one stop takes longer than planned, it probably puts you behind all day.

Yes I like to come early. I think it is important for home health workers to arrive to the clients homes on time. They should only arrive late if something happens that they can't control and call to say they are arriving late. I am glad that your mom want be needing the home health care no more.

My father's famous words were always, "if you're on time, then you're late". I always plan to arrive to either work, dates, or otherwise early to ensure I have extra time to get there. It is also much better on your stress levels if you don't have to worry about traffic and other factors causing you to be late. :)
