I was talking to one of my friend and he was drinking very heavily in office party. i don't know what could be the reason. Then manager asked me to drop him to his home. He has 1 daugher and wife at home. While driving I asked him why you drink this bad.. He said, I drink to let go of frustration in life. I laughed and said, I have tons of problems be it financial, family, single life and other future issues.. going by his logic, I must take drugs injected through my blood. People tell lies to get drunk. I wonder why they do such things.

I kinda like your maturity...you are shaping up like Pony. Excuse..dishonesty..everybody who drinks wants to find an excuse for that..smh.

@skysnap ..Our life (my father's, mom's, and mine) became tough because of gamblers and drunkards...I am fine if they drink from their monies, but they become horrifying creatures...beating and taking away monies...to keep up with their addiction. Then it becomes too much...others who accidentally have enough to manage start starving having been denied their own hard earned monies.

@vandana7 yes I have seen that part too (not the gambling but loaning money to get drunk part).

I think he really could have some problems . Who knows , but only him and find drinking as his outlet of letting go of what's heavy on his chest . People drink for different reasons . My hubby drinks to relax . So , when he comes home he is happy and would be talkative and tickles me , even if i am already sleeping .

@SIMPLYD yeah girl was asleep and wife was worried.. so i thought he is being careless here.. i mean if wife were to be working outside i'd understand that he can let himself free but as wife is dependent .. it's kind of concerning that he has drinking habits.

@skysnap People who drink always find a reason. If they are sad, they drink,if they are happy they drink. All are just excuses.

The truth is, many are involved in all of these toxic addictions because of pain. He wasn't lying when he said to let go of frustration. If you have never been there, you can't understand that. #Peace

May be he gets his frustration out by drinking. It is his way but not everyone needs it.Each of them have their own way to let out frustration

I have a friend who says her husband and co-workers get complete toasted at office parties. Why - well they get a room after these hotel parties so no one has to drink and drive home. Everyone can let loose and drink all they want. But I say why do they need to drink at all to enjoy themselves . . . what fun is a hangover the next day? I've had my share of drinking stupidly during college . . . but then I outgrew it.

some people will be very sensitive. They lack will power. They can not bear the agony and can not withstand the troubles in life. Generally, such people take a wrong route in life. they need good and active friends.Good company to share his feelings is the best medicine for him.

It is not the drink but what is within us before we drink that determines our relationship with the drink. For the fearful, drink is an escape, and for the tough, drink is a just that, - just a drink. Our attitudes have a lot to do with our self esteem.

It was not a 'lie'. They fully believe this to be true. Generally questions are not welcomed by addicts. I am not as caring too, let them destroy the world around them. Lack of will doesn't attract me much, nor does it derive sympathy.
