Waiting for a package

I ordered some food online and I wasn't home today when the deliveryman came. They always leave a note in your box and you can call an automated number to have them deliver it when you are home, so I called. You can request delivery between, for example, 2:00-4:00, or 4-6, or 6-8. It was 5:15 when I got home, so I chose 6:00-8:00.
This means I have to stay downstairs so I can hear the doorbell. So I went upstairs and got my computer, so I can do myLotting while waiting. (I also did the dishes, made lunch for tomorrow, and did a load of laundry.)
I don't remember exactly what I ordered, so it's kind of like Christmas. Do you like receiving packages even if they are from yourself, and do you forget what you ordered like me?
And if I leave the room and go upstairs do you suppose they will come to the door?

I love getting packages or food too.
It'll be a surprise since you don't remember :)

I have ordered two calendars and a clarinet strap. I should be getting one calendar today, and the clarinet strap on Sat. I will getting the other calendar next week. I hate waiting.

Yes, sometimes I do forget what I ordered, and almost all the time the packages will left anyway, but I am not in an apartment.

In Japan we have to sign for the package. In America I know you don't. That seems odd, since I would think it would be more likely to be stolen from your porch in America than it would be in Japan.
