I signed up for CC but haven't submitted anything yet. I've been on AC for a few months but am disappointed by most of the offers I've gotten (many have been $3).
Some articles there are quite good, but others are pretty bad--I think the low pay encourages people to write as quickly as possible, and it shows.
Some people brag that they can write an AC article in 5 minutes; some of the articles are full of typos, some are cut and pasted from other places. I read an AC article on volunteering in NYC and the descriptions were lifted from the organizations' Web sites.
Sorry for the mini-rant!

Hey Idle...I just wrote a verbose response to your concerns about AC ...but it was erased. I'll try again later.
But quickly I'll add I would contact the Content Manager's about how to make the articles more profitable. One time I got a $3 offer and they told me it was because the topic wasn't very searchable, which it wasn't. And funny thing that was some of my better (more natural) writing. Otherwise my offers are much better ....but I write with heavy keyword density (am practiced at it) and market my work. If you want ... see my profile link to AC here and msg me there...if you want I can come look at your articles and see if I have a clue what might help -- going from what I've learned from others there.
No problem on the rant! The post that I just had erased was 5X this long:-)

I'll take a look thanks, my primary blog is
http://acwriters.blogspot.com
It has job searches for freelance writers and various tips on writing and marketing... I want to add a lot more asap -- including free ebooks and tools. Though lately I have been focused on writing about Agloco.

My new favourite site is http://bestcashrewards.com/t.php?rid=1527. It's brand new so the money hasn't started rolling in yet but the earlier you start, the more you should be able to make. The best thing about it is that it doesn't cost you a penny to join.

Hi, I'm an AC'er too. I've actually gotten two steady writing gigs going on that were because someone viewed my articles on AC and contacted me. I do not submit often to AC because the offers have been terrible. In the beginning, I was never offered anything lower than $10, and I will not accept anything under that. So, I concentrate on more higher paying jobs, and use AC as a filler, when things are slow. I've also sold some articles on CC.

Congrats on your other Gigs --- Exposure is one of the best things about AC and a primary reason I write there. I know I can get paid more (and considering an offer) but right now I don't want to deal with deadlines so I like the freedom AC offers. But yes, I kind of get the impression they are offering less unless you write HEAVY keyword dense articles on popular topics.

I write with AC also. I have only been with them for a week, but I have managed to get two of my articles published. I wrote two more on Tuesday and I am waiting to hear back on those also. I can turn them out fairly quickly, however before submitting them I make sure that all spelling and gramatical mistakes are gone. I made $6 for each of my first two articles, so I can't complain. I hope to be able to make more by the end of this week. Best of luck to you.

Congrats and Welcome to AC (not sure what your pen name is there) If you want to earn more definately try the Weekly Topics as they pay a minimum of $8 an article. And the more exposure you get (including by self promotion) as well as the more keyword dense your articles are the better. But that is a great starting point and proofreading is very important. Note: I don't proof my posts that well ;-)
