I realize Emails are a thing in the past. The last Email I got was probably back in high school from friends and that was almost 10-12 yrs ago. We have social networks like Facebook now that that lets us search and send messages to people. We also have texting which is much quicker and you're able to receive a response from a person in a matter of seconds. Emails are basically used nowadays if you lost a password for a particular site and you need to reset it by using your E-mail address or it is mostly used for when you just registered to a site and they need your Email to confirm. Does Anyone on here still use Emails to contact people?

I am still using emails a lot. I have deleted my FB account many years ago, and most of my friends are not on FB. For privacy a text message is certainly better than an email or a messaging system on a site, but I am not very good when it comes to write with a phone.

@Judy890 I use email clients on both my phone and computer, and I have not to sign in each time I want to check my emails : they are notified as soon as they are received. Texting is certainly better, because my phone subscription comes with unlimited text messages and data are limited.

Texting is by far the best and fastest messaging system. When you send a text To someone they sees it right away. The thing about emails is you have to sign in to check it to me it's really slow and not the best messaging system to use if you want a quick response. Emails don't always come up the minute they are sent sometimes it takes a few minutes to come up in your inbox.

yes Emails are also used to contact professors. when I was attending school I use to Email my professors on the days I was going to be absent and need to make up the work that I've missed or our professors would Email us when they would be absent and tell us to not show up for the class.

Ah, yes. I didn't realize emails were antiquated. You can't write a proper message texting. Email offers more independence. Facebook isn't the supreme ruler of life.
