Do you let him kiss you in front of your family?

That's my question. I won't never let my bf kiss me in front of my family though he indicates so. Even if he just kisses me on the forehead, I would definately stop him. In my family, kissing is considered taboo. How about you?

Before I got married in my younger days I never did in front of my grandparents, my grandparents are the ones that raised me. I just always felt strange to do so.

Yeah, sometimes the elder is being stodgy. So now after you got married, you don't need to feel uneasy anymore for doing so.

@Ayuriny Yay!~ I learn a new word today - stodgy, lol!~All I can say is that due to Hollywood and media and all those kind of stuff, a lot of moral values have been diluted. Not trying to be holier than thou or self-righteous, just stating my observation which I believe is a fact

My boyfriend and I kiss in front of my parents and siblings because they just don't care. Kissing isn't that big of a deal when you have been dating for almost 4 years. As long as we aren't making out and trying to hump each other in front of them then they could careless. I kiss him a lot when they come up to visit me or I am leaving home from breaks because I know it will be awhile before I see him again. None of us, but my parents, kiss our love ones in front of my grandmother though because she thinks it is something we shouldn't do at all until we get married.

@Ayuriny I have been dating my boyfriend 9 years and have never kissed infront of my parents. I feel weird. Same with my sister the only time my parents' saw them kiss was at their wedding after 10 years of dating.

My family is rather assertive about this case. They would blame me if I let my bf do so. Your grandmother seems a bit assertive too. ...

I will not mind it. But the fact is I think we are shy people, so he has never kissed me in public except in our wedding day

Kissing is perfectly normal, for most families but different families have different ways of doing things.

Yes, it's unacceptable here too. I understand what was your sister feeling at that time. She must feel uneasy. But, what was your reaction to them?

Different countries have different customs and traditions. I live in Europe most of the time and it's normal to show affection in front of the parents. Well, in Germany that is.
