Why do some men can’t cry their eyes out?

I was talking to a male student from China. He claimed that it is not good for them to cry. It is in their culture that men should not cry and even little boys cannot have tears in their eyes. With such concern, I gave him some situational questions that it is fine for men to cry. However, he continued to stick to his beliefs. Image Credit: pixabay.com

Normally women weeps more than men. Tear is not a thing to measure the boldness of a person. Weeping belong to character and feeling of emotions.

I do agree with you. Thus, it is possible for a man to cry. The reason, men have a low level of estrogen hormone.

@Shavkat Yes that is the scientific side . If you have sadness crying is the best solution if naturally works to reduce tension and sadness.

Since I am a Chinese, so I understand it much more. The saying is: Men would rather bleed than cry. It means that men should be strong and should not drop tears like girls. But it is more like a saying today. If a man cries, it is OK. Nobody will really laugh at him. When men cry, they must have their own reasons.

Yeah, in Chinese tradition they believe that true men only bleed, they don't cryTotally absurd and utter nonsense if you ask me

That is kinda uncool. Anyone who has feelings has the right to cry of they wish. Even animals cry. Not allowing a human child to cry is putting him in a very unstable emotional state.

We have such like beliefs in certain communities in my country. It is really not wrong for a man to shade some tear. It is not easy as a man to cry but sometimes one just can't withhold the pain without relieving some through tear-drops. As a Christian, the man who was sent by God for people on Earth, Jesus Christ, wept--- cried bitterly, why shouldn't we do the same when faced with a situation beyond our control?

That is really sad that in some cultures, boys are told not to cry .. I raised three boys on my own and I told them that it's okay for boys to cry.. All three had their hearts broken at one stage and they came to me crying.. They felt better afterwards ..

I believe a woman has posted this, as only men can understand that perfectly. It's not in us to cry. Men's tears are conditional. Wait, what are they called?
