Major Issues in Cross Cultural Communication

I had been working in Saudi Arabia for almost 4 years now, here I had worked together with different nationalities (Arabs, Indian, Pakistani, Jordaninia, Lebanese, Yemeni, Sri Lankan, Malaysian, Singaporean, English and Japanese) and able to see the different cultures. The first year was a struggle for me since I can only speak my native language and English as my secondary language. Some nationalities used their native dialect which I cannot understand at all and if they try to speak English, I can barely understood what they want to say. During my stay here, somehow I can communicate with them on their spoken language. How about you, aside from your local language, do you know and understand the language of other nationalities?
