My younger sister is in love with a turkey joe from a deli place in our old hometown of Chatham NJ. They still make these sandwiches. My sister now lives in Seattle and on trips back East has been known to swing by and get one when she can. AND, even though she is now vegetarian, she will make an exception for this sandwich.
My favorite sandwiches come from a place in San Francisco called Einstein's. It's in the Inner Sunset, and the cafe is staffed by at-risk youth. This gives them jobs and a place to get off the street. They also make the BEST homemade honey wheat bread, and this is what makes these sandwiches rock so hard! Head's up, the portions are truly enormous, and many people find a sandwich can be eaten in two meals. The BLT on that killer bread is a special fave.

I don't really like sandwiches. Yes, I know.. I'm weird! I do like subs on occassion though. My favorite is probably taking Cuban bread and putting a good cut of roast beef on it and adding munster cheese, then heat it in the microwave, hubby loves when I make this.

wow, I think you just gave me my new favorite sandwich. Holy cow, that sounds so great, you made me hungry. I am going to make this sandwich, stick it under the broiler and toast it up, then gobble it down....

I do also enjoy the BMT(I think that is what it is called) at Subway, I have it every time we go.

My favorite sandwich is hot ham and cheese but if I could get by with it I would have a sandwich at Subway everyday of the week.
