Okay, our little girl has gotten on one of her "I want to eat something twice then get tired of it" kicks. So I decided to fight dirty. I went to PetSmart and looked around at what high-end cat foods were on sale. I opted for soft or pureed stuff in pouches and small cans. Most of what I got was between forty and seventy cents each. I got things made of the usual chicken and fish, some puree made with chicken and rice, some made with chicken and duck, some made with beef and lobster! too, and various other tasty edibles. Hopefully she likes some of it. What's the strangest cat food you've tried?

C/D is pretty strange. Our dog food might be considered strange. Sally eats buffalo and sweet potato and Leah eats lamb and rice. I love your kitty photo. She must love having more natural air and sun now.

Oh, she does. I think the best is probably chicken and pumpkin.

OK, you realize that you're not the one fighting dirty....she is...right? She got you to bring her a wide variety of food so that she can choose the one she likes best (this week. lol). My cat did the same to me. I finally figured out that she really just likes anything that has "gravy" in it. I cannot believe all the different varieties, it drives me bonkers. Plain salmon, or salmon and tuna, or salmon and tuna with cheddar? Pate, gravy, slices, pieces, chunks, diced, smothered, scattered...OK I think I wandered into ways to order Waffle House hash browns there. I haven't gotten too crazy yet but I think the strangest one I tried with her was tuna and cheddar, which sounds disgusting to me, but she likes cheese so I went for it. She didn't like it any more than anything else, so since it grosses *me* out I'm not going to keep buying it.

Ha ha, you're right. Tuna and cheddar sounds odd to me as well until I remember how good a melted tuna and cheese sandwich is.

maybe just rotating the variety will help

Well, I'm definitely set up for that! I have cod, bacon and cheese flavored food too.

A lot of cat food in Japan has "scallop-flavored sauce". I always think that is weird even though my cats lap it up every day. It's normal here.

I'll bet my cat would like scallop flavored sauce. It's such a nice, light flavor.

I have not tried any of the strange ones but there sure are a lot to choose from. Freya gets the ones that are for the older cat and has to have the ones with gravy. She would probably like just the gravy.
