Sugar Free Orange Jell-O

I just had a tiny snack which consisted of some sugar free orange Jell-O and a few spoons of vanilla ice cream mixed together. Love that combination. I used to give this little dessert to our sons when they were little and they also loved that then. Not anymore. Is there any snacks that you remember your children loving when they were small but can't care less now?

No children so I remember about myself. Actually I used to love eating sweet things and drinking buttermilk. I still love this combination and even eat jam with sour cream.

That snacks sound great! Haven't tried it. Maybe I must. My kids simply love sinapot (a ripe banana coated with flour & fried), to go with Coke (their favorite soda). Not anymore. They know very well that soda harms not only the teeth but the stomach as well. As for the sinapot? It's the cooking oil they dislike now. They prefer boiled bananas instead plus a glass of iced lemon juice. Perfect!

I used to make pudding and put some fresh fruit on top of it when our son was young, that would be the treat that he remembers. I remember eating homemade cookies fresh out of the oven.

Pudding with fresh fruit on top was a good snack. My Mom used to bake a lot and I do so remember some of her cookies.

Oh yes jelly and ice cream was a firm favourite of most young children in the UK. Also if it had mixed fruit cocktail in it too!

I have no children, but I remember that I liked chocolate spread (not Nutella) when I was a kid, now I only like dark chocolate and never spread on the bread.

The only time that I can't stand eating Jello-O is after surgery when they won't give you anything else than clear broth or jello.

Not offhand I don't know of any they liked then but not know. I used to enjoy spaghetti and pizza and now I eat both sparingly. Although, I did have some Hungry Howie's pizza recently that revived my pizza taste buds. I've never considered mixing jello with ice cream. Our store has come out with a different type package of jello that has a different type of sugar, or sugar substitute. Not sure which as I've not bought it yet, but I looked when someone else did.

No one in our house ever liked Jello. Chocolate pudding and rice pudding were our favorites. Still are.

Interesting combination. I used to have a pumpkin pie for my daughter's birthday, but she's gone away from that. I don't know what she has now. I'll find out tomorrow. It's her birthday.
