Great Martin - Please Stay.

I've known Martin for about 3 years now, both here and on Bubblews, and I was sad when a few days ago he said he might leave the site.
Here is a poem I wrote for him for his birthday this year.
Our Martin is one of those guys
Who's funny and witty and wise,
He tells us his stories
Of triumphs and glories,
And for charm, he takes the first prize.
We all know that he's a 'one-off',
And also that he's a film buff,
Fine eating and plays
These fill his days,
Of movies he can't get enough.
He's always stood out from the crowd,
And often does things not allowed,
You'll hear him say
He's glad to be gay,
Of which he's defiantly proud.
So here's to this friend we hold dear,
Who, as he was born in leap year
Has birthdays just twenty,
Though years he has plenty,
Dear Martin we love you - stay here.

I hope he will stay. I saw the post he wrote. Sounds like he has a lot going on. Maybe he can share a post now and then and we can still enjoy his humor and wit.

I've noticed over the years that people tend to do a lot less writing during the holiday months @jaboUK some are teachers so naturally they have obligations that prevents them from writing as much and then of course there are those who are busy doing repairs after whatever storms have hit their areas. You watch, they'll show up more in late January.
Heck, even you disappeared for a little while.

@jaboUK what that fella does fer 'ttention, eh? lol. i believe he's been busy writin' his reviews's other places. i dunno, he quit sendin' me links to such coz i ne'er leave a response to 'em, though i do take the time to read 'em. i fear that movie/theatre 'n food reviews jest don't tickle my fancy none :(

@pgntwo Thank you. I actually sent this to Martin for his 80th birthday in February, but I didn't post it which is why I can do so now, He was born on Feb 29th, so has actually only had 20 birthdays.
I've just seen that he's put a post up about Halloween, so hopefully our fears are unfounded.

I'm sorry to hear that Martin is thinking of leaving. With everything going on in my family I haven't been here much but I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things in the next few days. Hope Martin changes his mind
