Shortly before waking or falling asleep, some people experience "sleep paralysis" which can last a few seconds or more than a minute. Kendall Jenner revealed this morning that it happened to her and freaked her out until she knew what it was. I have experienced this and it freaked me out until I also read that it is normal. It's a feeling that you can't move or speak for a moment before waking up or dropping off to sleep. In my case, I have had people calling out my name to wake me and I know they're calling me but I can't answer until a few seconds to a half-minute later. This has scared the person trying to wake me up. Doctors say it is caused by stress. Has this ever happened to you?

Yes, that has happened to me on more than one occasion. It has happened when I was a child and as an adult, the last time it happened was over a year ago.
