When I opened the electricity bill, I noticed it was $30 cheaper. I went to go tell my boyfriend, and he asked if I had the correct address?
Sure enough it was the correct address!
Then, I thought about it.. what did we do differently! My conclusion: It must have been the new lights we purchased!
We bought:
- Fluorescent Shop Light for our office space with LED bulbs
- We also bought two LED light lamps
And of course, turning off all lights not in use or not neccesary, solar powered lights for the backyard.. Most appliances are energy efficient/saving!
Hopefully the bill will stay low like this!
Has any of your bills gone lower than you expected?!
Note:
I rounded the savings, it's actually $29.94 or something - I don't have the exact information in front of me.

This month's bill is usually the lowest of the year - no pool running and no heat on yet...ac a little in the evenings. So our bill was less than $125 for a total electric house!

@infatuatedbby Our electric is cheap. We get it thru a cooperative and those getting elec thru a 'normal company' pay almost double. A house our size total electric where we're from in New Jersey runs about $400-500 a month.

That is great! Those new type of lights really do the trick. I pay level pay which is the same amount each month. Recently it went down $70 . Not bad, huh?

Congratulations! That is definitely good news. We can save more if we practice conserving electricity in our house. Here, we practice it too. We do not iron clothes every day. We just do it once a week. Lights are always turned off when no one is using it. Electric stove is used rarely too.

Wow! Significant savings, good for you. You can also plug appliances into a power strip, and just turn the power strip off. Stuff like Tv's Cable box, Printer... all draw small amounts of power even when off,...

I´m changing the bulbs little by little for LED bulbs. But they are expensive and I can´t throw the others if they are working.

Yes - don't toss them out until the light bulbs go bad then get some LED.
