A Different Kind of Scare

I got a different kind of scare last week when I paid my credit card through a machine at a bank last week .
As I pulled the credit card from the wallet’s cardholder , the wallet slipped to the floor .
I picked it up and put it in my bag . Then I did my transaction at the machine .
When I was about to put my credit card back into its cardholder , my 2 ATM cards and EON card were gone .
Good thing , there’s no one that followed me at the machine so I looked from under it but they weren’t there .
I got scared losing them . I calmed myself and talked to the customer representative if she has seen my cards fell to the floor , but she said no .
I took out my card and searched from the other compartments to no avail , only to find each card tucked so deeply into each of their cardholder . I got a hard time retrieving each of the from deep into their holders .
Gosh , I experienced a different kind of scare , because the account numbers of those cards were at home and my money are all in there . I know , I can report them as lost , but that would take time .
Will you be scared too if your credit card or ATM card gets lost ?
PS – That’s a picture of my wallet and the cards .

Ah yes I have card scares quite often. Sometimes in a rush I just toss my card in my back without putting it back into my wallet. Good to hear you found your cards.
You're right - even if one were to lose their cards, it can be reported and everything will be fine but it will be a hassle and cards will be delayed.

@SIMPLYD yes but the banks will backtrack so it'll be fine. As long as you're safe :)

@infatuatedbby Yes, they will validate the purchases. But it would make you feel anxious while they are doing that .

I think we all would be because if our credit cards gets into the hands of other people it can be made for purchases until it reaches its limit , which is what is so scary .
Most stores don't ask for IDs anymore to validate the ownership of the credit card being handed down to them to be swiped for purchases done. ![](/Content/images/emotes/fear.gif)

I will be scared and anxious if I lost anything of importance to me: credit cards, debit/ATM cards, my checkbook, green card, driver's license, passport, name it! I know they are replaceable but not after a lot of hassles of going through the paperwork.

Precisely . Besides , the time frame of reporting it and blocking it , can already be the time when your cards are already used .

These cards are scary to lose . They can be manipulated by others when they are picked up .

And that would indeed scary for you if you lose your Korean debit card . Before your report has been enacted , it could be manipulated already by the scrupulous person who might have picked it up.

@amitkokiladitya Actually , i was in a daze because it wasn't anywhere on the floor , yet i have seen it when i get the credit card . So , i just have to calm myself because if i am frantic , i won't be able to think clearly of what to do and how it happened .

I am sure everyone will be because if those cards will get to those who knows how to manipulate them , they surely can purchase though it or withdraw from the ATM card. ![](/Content/images/emotes/fear.gif)
