My hometown

Here are some photos I took from my home town Cebu. Cebu City Philippines is the second largest city of Philippines. Cebu is most famous because of pretty beaches and off course Lechon ( Roast Pig ) and the so-called Puso ( Hanging rice ). Puso (Hanging rice ) is a couple of rice grains and wrapped by coconut leaves and when it's cook it has a different taste, and they hang it for display when they sell it. Ohhh it's best to eat it with Lechon (roast pig) they are the best match. Cebu is the city most foreigners want to visit compared to the capital city because of course, less traffic, and cause of the beautiful tourist spot. That's all for now, and next time I will put more General knowledge about my hometown.

@MsPinkU Sometimes if the photo is the original/raw it is a large size so it might take a little longer to load. You can print screen it smaller to upload?

I have been to Cebu - but it's Mactan actually . And that was when we were just kids when the plane will have its stopover in Mactan airport. And that was long ago , maybe more than 45 years ago , but it is still a beautiful place to be at , even just at the airport . Someday , we will be going there for a vacation . What's that hanging rice or Puso , is it made of glutinous rice like our suman here ?

@MsPinkU Oh so it's just plain rice . And that can really go well with lechon . The picture of lechon made me crave for it . How much is the "por kilo " of Cebu lechon ?

@SIMPLYD about 400 pesos per kilo and yes it is plain rice only but then due to Wrap with coconut leaves it has a different taste.

Cebu and Davao, also Palawan all compete for beautiful beaches. I have been to Cebu many times, usually in Ayala because of work and conferences. I have classmates in Manila who lives in Cebu and only came to Manila for school. They still live there but I am already miles away. Hopefully we will have a reunion there, but because they live there they do not want the reunion to take place there.

It's one of the most progressive cities in the country. If only Manila was more like Cebu, but you know that's not possible.

The city looks lovely. But do they serve the Lechon like that? I couldn't eat it if the face of the pig was on the plate.
